Why we exist
Getting pierced is the easy part. What comes next is a year of not knowing what you are allowed to wear, being told different things by different people, and buying jewellery that turns out to be the wrong length once it is in your hand.
We sell earrings for the piercings that are hard to shop for — helix, conch, daith, rook, tragus, flat, forward helix. The kind a piercer sized for you and a shop assistant cannot.
There are beautiful places to buy curated-ear jewellery. Most of them are priced as fine jewellery, and almost none of them will tell you the post length before you have paid. We would rather be the one that does.
What that means in practice
- Specifications, up front
- Gauge, post length or inner diameter, thread type and material are on the card, before you click into anything. You should not have to email a shop to find out whether a piece physically fits.
- Healing rules in the code
- Tell us a piercing is fresh or still healing and you're shown titanium only, in the longer post length. That's enforced by the site itself, not written in a guide and hoped for.
- We publish what we can prove
- The trade uses “surgical steel” and “titanium” loosely enough that the words on their own mean very little. So we'll publish the exact specification when we hold the paperwork, and say medical-grade titanium until then.
- Sold singly
- One piece for the helix, a different one for the conch, something small underneath. Forced pairs would mean buying a piece for a piercing you do not have. There is a toggle if you do want two.
- Priced to be worn
- Implant titanium, 925 sterling and 14k gold-filled. Good enough to heal in and live in, without the fine-jewellery premium for metal you will mostly see from two feet away.
What we are not
We are not a piercing studio and we do not pierce. Find a reputable piercer, go to them, and come back to us for what goes in afterwards.
Our sizing guidance is standard piercing practice, not medical advice. It cannot see your anatomy and your piercer can. If a piercing is painful, inflamed or not settling, that is a conversation for a piercer or a doctor, not a size chart.
We are not a fine jewellery house. There are no diamonds and no solid 14k here yet. What we sell is meant to be worn every day, healed in, slept in and replaced without ceremony.
